Mr. Lam graduated in 1993 from Guy’s Hospital Medical School (BSc(Hons) MB BS), and continued his surgical training in London to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS(Eng.)) in 1998.
His specialist plastic and reconstructive surgical training continued at Salisbury, Stoke Mandeville and the Oxford Radcliffe Infirmary. As a Clinical Research Fellow in the laser treatment of burns, his thesis was unconditionally awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) by the University of London in 2005.
After passing the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Plastic Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004 (FRCS(Plast.)) he carried out further specialist training in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia, where he spent a year as the Microsurgery Fellow.
This is an internationally recognized centre of excellence for plastic and reconstructive surgery. During this time abroad, he also gained considerable aesthetic surgery experience with Adelaide Plastic Surgery Associates (www.apsa.com.au), a leading Australian private practice.
Mr. Lam was registered into the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in October 2005 and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He has published widely in Plastic Surgery and presented internationally in Greece, Italy, Australia, Hong Kong and the UK.
