With over 10 years’ experience in his field, Mr Ian Smith is a highly regarded Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.

His private practices are based at the Spire and Nuffield Hospitals in Leeds. He holds his consultant post at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, working at both the Leeds General Infirmary and St James’s Hospital. Mr Smith is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds.

Following his initial training in Maxillofacial Surgery in Birmingham, Mr Smith went on to undertake a 12 month fellowship in Adelaide, at the internationally renowned Australian Craniofacial Unit and a further 12 month Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at The Royal Brisbane Hospital,

Queensland. Here he gained advanced training in head and neck surgery and also complex skin cancers. He went on to complete his higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery in Leeds in 1996 and has trained throughout the Yorkshire region.
