A graduate of UCD in 1984, Margaret specialises in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.  Having trained in the UK and Australia, she is on the Specialist Register of the Medical Council.   Her areas of special interest are cosmetic and aesthetic surgery, particularly breast surgery, and skin cancer surgery.  Margaret has been a consultant since 1997, and ran the National Burns unit in St James Hospital for 10 years and has extensive experience with breast reconstructive surgery.  She holds appointment in St Vincent’s Hospital and Blackrock Clinic.  She is also a special lecturer in the Royal College of Surgeons on Human Factors & Patient Safety.  The majority of her cosmetic practice is performed in Blackrock Clinic and St Vincents Private Hospital.  She is also a member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons and takes on the role of President later this year.
