After medical schools in Syria and the United Kingdom, Ali completed his surgical training in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Great Ormond Street Hospitals before successfully completing the National Plastic Surgery Specialty Training as one of only 5 academic trainees in Plastic Surgery in London leading to the award of the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Plast) and Certification of Completion of Specialty Training (CCT). He is on the General Medical Council specialist register in plastic surgery.
Ali has also completed his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology from University College London working on molecular regulation of embryonic stem cells. He is one of a handful of plastic reconstructive surgeons with stem cell biology qualifications worldwide and has internationally lectured on his research in this innovative and promising branch of modern medicine: regenerative surgery.
He is one of the pioneers in the introduction and development of a wide range of stem cell and growth factors based treatments in aesthetic reconstructive plastic surgery and regenerative medicine including injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin (iPRF) , adipose tissue derived stem cells (Nanofat), Tissue Regenerative Micrografts (Rigenera Activa) protocol to name a few.
