I graduated from Glasgow University with distinction and honours in 1999. My general surgical training was completed in the Midlands and I became one of the youngest surgeons in the United Kingdom to pass the specialist exam in plastic surgery (FRCS-Plast). Whilst undertaking an intensive 6 year training programme in Plastic Surgery in the West Midlands, I was also awarded a Masters Degree in Medical Science with honours. In 2010, I was appointed as an NHS consultant at the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital of Birmingham. In 2015, I left the NHS to join the private sector with a firm belief that the patient remains central to any treatment and with the right to expect a personalised service.
