Amit Goyal is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon & Associate Professor at the Royal Derby Hospital, Derby. He was a Clinical Lecturer of Surgery at Cardiff University, Cardiff before moving to Derby. He completed subspecialty training in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at the University Hospital in Cardiff followed by an Oncoplastic Fellowship at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

 

He has presented work at different national and international meetings, and is the author or co-author of more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on Breast Diseases. He has conducted different overseas UICC sponsored sentinel lymph node biopsy and oncoplastic training workshops.

 

His special interests are breast cancer, prophylactic (risk reducing) breast surgery, reconstruction and cosmetic surgery, lipofilling, sentinel node biopsy and breast pain. He specialises in breast reconstruction using dermal sling and Strattice™(tissue matrix).
