Mr Brent Tanner has worked as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon since 1984. First and foremost, his work has been at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, where he was Director of the Burns Unit. The hospital’s specialist Burns Unit was developed during the second World War. Its pioneering work, treating the horrific burns of pilots who had been shot down by enemy fire, has become renowned throughout the World for its excellence in plastic surgery.

Mr Tanner trained at Cambridge University and St. Thomas’ Hospitals in London before going on to hold junior posts at the Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow, the Birmingham Accident HospitalGreat Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Since 1984 he has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead and Director of the McIndoe Burns Unit.  For the last ten years he has solely devoted his time to cosmetic surgery.
