Mr Alexander Dodds BSc (Hons), MBBCh, MSc, MD (Res) FRCS (Tr and Orth) is an experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Knee and Hip Surgery. He qualified as a doctor from Cardiff University in 2003, earning a first-class honours degree in Anatomy and a Distinction in finals. He began his specialist training in Wales, during this time Mr Dodds worked as the sports doctor to North Wales Rugby providing pitch side care and managing high impact sports injuries. He completed his specialist training in London in 2013, gaining extensive trauma experience working in St Marys, one of London’s best renowned teaching hospitals and a designated Major Trauma Centre. His advanced training included a prestigious UK fellowship in London where he was involved in knee operations on premiership football and rugby players, and a year in Australia working in Sportsmed, one of the countries most successful private sports medicine centres.
