Mr Laurence James is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is clinical director of Orthopaedics at University Hospital Lewisham & Greenwich trust and an Honorary Lecturer at The Institute of Orthopaedics, University College London, as well as being a team doctor to Saracens RFC.

After qualifying from University College London, he completed his postgraduate training at University College Hospital, London and Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. He then undertook Specialist Fellowship Training in Foot & Ankle Surgery at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London and Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

Mr James has numerous publications in peer review journals, has presented at international conferences and written book chapters in major orthopaedic textbooks.

He is a specialist in all aspects offset and ankle surgery.

Special interests

All aspects of foot and ankle surgery. Arthroscopy, bunions, toe deformity, tendon and ligament injury, ankle replacements, achilles and plantar fasciitis.
