Mr Parwez completed his undergraduate training from Magadh University, India (1991) and came to the UK in 1993 to undertake a comprehensive postgraduate training programme. He completed basic surgical training rotation at Aberdeen Hospital, Scotland and successfully passed the FRCS Ed in 1996. Mr Parwez completed the West Midlands Trauma and Orthopaedic higher Surgical rotation (1998-2004), during which time he completed a 2-year part time Diploma in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University (2001). He completed his FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) in 2002 and has undertaken two fellowship post , a Lower Limb Arthroplasty fellowship (Wests Suffolk Hospital 2004-2005 and a Knee Soft tissue and Arthroplasty fellowship at Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Southmead Hospital, Bristol 2009-2010 , with two consultants covering the full spectrum of Knee Surgery including Cartilage, soft tissue, ligaments, Partial Knee Replacements, Revision Knee surgery including use of Mega prosthesis. It is one of the two high volume and pioneering centres of Unicompartmental knee replacement in UK and the unit with the maximum volume of Lateral Unicompartmental replacement. His research topic was effect of Age and BMI on the longevity of Unicompartmental Knee Replacement and he presented his findings at the Combined Orthopaedic Meeting in Glasgow 2010.
