Mr Kirkpatrick qualified in both Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry (BDS) from Guy’s Hospital. Following training in General surgery he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). During his training he undertook research as a Lecturer in Anatomy and Cell Biology at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospitals for his Doctoral Thesis and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of London.

Subsequently, training in Plastic Surgery, he also obtained fellowships in Craniofacial surgery at both Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, as well as in Head and Neck surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Aesthetic surgery at the Wellington Hospital and was accredited FRCS(Plast) by the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mr. Kirkpatrick is on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a member and council member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), and member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS),  the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), the European Society of Craniofacial Surgery (ESCFS), the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-facial Surgery (ESCMFS) and the past President of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) Plastic Surgery Section. He is the Medical Director, Trustee and past Chairman of the International Craniofacial Charity “Facing The World”. He has published extensively and gives presentations and lectures nationally and internationally.
